Paris, 1883. In Montmartre, the Sacré-Coeur grew on the Butte in a pharaonic construction project. Séraphine, 12 leads a monotonous life with Jeanne, the grumpy seamstress who raised her, but decides to change to change her life. She has one obsession: to find out who her parents were. Flanked by Mistigri, a street child whom she takes under her wing she takes under her wing, Séraphine uncovers the secret of her origins. It is in the struggles waged by the people of Montmartre that she will find the key to her history.
